This page is dedicated to VILLAGE TRAVELS, which means trips for schools to different destinations in Europe. It’s a different project from our two other projects i.e. INTERNATIONAL VILLAGE and POLISH VILLAGE.

School trips organized by our company are different from others. They are 100 % orientated on the needs of students. We want the them to benefit something more than just visiting a particular place and taking pictures of buildings. We want the students to get the culture of a particular country they visit, we organize meetings with teenagers from that country, visits in places that really interest teenagers,  teambuilding activities and many other attractions. Your students will definitely not get bored during our trips …

Our company has been on the market since 2002 and we have been organizing different projects for schools since 2011. We have few destinations in our offer.

Our best selling and most recommended trip is a trip to CRACOW + AUSCHWITZ concentration camp.

AUSCHWITZ – BIRKENAU concentration camp is UNESCO World Heritage Site. All over the world,  it has become a symbol of terror, genocide, and the Holocaust. It was established by Germans in 1940, in the suburbs of Oświecim, a Polish city that was annexed to the Third Reich by the Nazis. Its name was changed to Auschwitz, which also became the name of Konzentrationslager Auschwitz.

In 2023, over 1.67 million people visited the Auschwitz Memorial. Walking through the authentic post-camp space becomes not only the acquisition of knowledge, of facts or dates, but a profound personal experience that prompts reflection on our own ethical attitudes.

It is said that everyone should visit AUSCHWITZ at least once in a lifetime in order for it to never happen again.

CRACOW is second largest city in Poland. It is often called the „City of Kings” because it used to be Polish capital for many centuries and many kings are were buried in Cracow. It is a magical city. It attracts millions of visitors every year and is a major tourist destination in Poland, not without reason. Cracow also draws many catholic pilgrims as it is also the city of Pope John Paul II, where he lived for several years and served as archbishop and then cardinal before moving to Rome to start his Pontificate.

We recommend visiting Cracow and especially AUSCHWITZ concentration camp in autumn/winter time. Why? Because once you visit it in summer/spring you will not get the real experience … Once you visit the camp on a sunny, warm day when the grass is green and the birds are singing you may get the feeling that it was not so bad here, that it was not as hard to live for the prisoners. You will not feel the harshness of the place. On the other hand when you visit it in autumn/winter when its cold, cloudy and the weather is gloomy you will literally feel the unbearable horror of this place and thus you will appreciate what the people kept there had to go through.

I remember from my own experience when I visited AUSCHWITZ in winter. I remember that I was standing in front of one of the barracks, trying to listen to the guide telling us all the stories but I couldn’t concentrate on what she was saying because I was cold … and then it struck me: I’m here wearing warm, duck feathered jacket (with few layers underneath), wearing proper winter shoes, wearing leather gloves, after having a full nutricious breakfast and I’m complaining about being cold ….. I thought about the prisoners of AUSCHWITZ who had no proper shoes (sometimes they didn’t have any shoes), no proper winter clothes (they had the same set of clothes for the whole year and if someone was caught being wrapped in a newspaper what kept them warm was shot by the guards on the spot ….), they had no proper meals (they had only 1 meal per day and it was far from being called a nutritious one). I got closer to what the real experience of those people was.

Another reason for visiting Cracow and AUSCHWITZ in autumn and winter that both these places are very popular among tourists and thus the accommodation is the cheapest and most available at that period of the year and it’s not so crowded when compared to spring/summer time.
